Insurance-Recognised S5 Tracking
Global Telemetrics S5 tracking provides Driver Identification alongside professionally monitored vehicle tracking. The system is monitored by the Global Telemetrics Secure Control Centre 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Driver Identification
S5 systems use Driver Identification to help confirm that vehicle movement is authorised. Depending on the system, identification can be provided through the D-iD feature in the GTE Track app or a Bluetooth Driver Detection card. If Driver Identification is not detected, an alert is generated for the Secure Control Centre.
GTE Track App
The GTE Track app provides access to useful tracking and vehicle information, including:
- Real-time / last recorded vehicle location
- Journey history
- Movement alerts and notifications
- Geofences
- Vehicle dashboard information
- Service mode
Immobilisation can be added to suitable S5 systems. Options can include remote immobilisation in a theft situation or S5+ iMOB no-tag, no-start protection. The required immobilisation option should be confirmed when ordering.
The tracking system is professionally installed. MB Telematics will confirm vehicle suitability, installation requirements and any optional immobilisation requirements before fitting.
A monitoring subscription is required for the connected tracking and Secure Control Centre services. Current subscription options can be confirmed when arranging installation.
